On Feb. 15th             the No.1 terminal of Shenzhen Airport was closed formally to reconstruct and expand it, which would last for about 1 year.

On Feb. 26th             Shenzhen Airport signed the cooperation frame agreement with Hong Kong Airport Administration at Wuzhou Guest House

On April 1st              Shenzhen Airport Group, Shenzhen Airport Stock Company and Shun Tak Holdings Limited of Hong Kong held together the signature ceremony for their aviation logistics park joint venture project.

On April 7th              Shenzhen Airport Group signed the authoritative management liability contract with Shenzhen State-owned Property Office at Wuzhou Guest House.

On April 21st            all the passengers taking the flight starting from Shenzhen Airport had to fill in the “Health Status Declaration Form” and experience body temperature test.

On April 22nd          Liu Yingli, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, arrived at our airport to inspect the prevention of SARS.

On May 7th             Liang Daoxing, Vice Mayor of Shenzhen, arrived at our airport to inspect the prevention of SARS.

On June 4th             Shenzhen Plan Bureau, Shenzhen Airport Group and Shenzhen Branch Office of China Construction Bank signed a corporation agreement on the collective consignment loan finance for the expansion of the old terminals.

On June 11th           Zhuo Qinrui and Liu Yingli, Vice Mayors of Shenzhen arrived at our airport to inspect the old terminal reconstruction engineering

On June 30th           Liu Yingli, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen presided at the coordination conference for the ‘bottleneck’ problem of the airport traffic.

In July                   the accumulated number of passengers passing through Shenzhen Airport within a single month broke through 1,000,000 for the first month.

On Aug. 14th         Zhuo Qinrui, Deputy Mayor of Shenzhen, along with some relevant government department, arrived at our airport to handle the official business, examined and approved of the reconstruction and decoration of the No.1 old terminal.

On Sept.2nd         our airport resisted the strike of “Cuckoo ”, the name of a violent typhoon.

From September to October          we successfully fulfilled the “Service Quality Month” program.

On Oct 8th          the second flight from Shenzhen via Macao to Taipei was opened.

On Oct. 16th        the flight from Shenzhen via Amsterdam to Shanghai was opened.

On Oct. 22nd        the cargo flight from Shenzhen to Laoag of Philippine was opened

In October            Shenzhen Airport was awarded the National May Day’s Labor Medal

In October            the fact that Shenzhen Airport won International Sanitary Airport became the 8th group of new records created by Chinese enterprises.

On Dec 2nd          Liu Yingli, Deputy Director of Shenzhen, arrived at our airport to handle the affairs concerning the coordination between the two terminals after the original building had been reconstructed.

On Dec 10th        the accumulated number of passengers passing through Shenzhen Airport broke through 10,000,000.

On Dec 28th       the engineering for reconstructing old terminal was inspected for the first time.
