Special Assistance
Shenzhen Airport provides a range of care services for passengers with special needs, including the elderly over 60 years old, pregnant women, sick or physically disabled passengers (with restricted mobility) and so on. These services include priority check- in, priority security check, free battery vehicle service, priority boarding and other assistance throughout the whole ground service process.
Notice: When whole-process special assistance is needed, which includes airport pick-up & drop-off service and in-flight service, such as assistance for unaccompanied minors aged from 5 (including) to 12 (excluding) years old and seniors aged over 70(including), wheelchair and stretcher passengers etc., please apply to the airlines in advance. After successful application, please get to the Special Assistance reception counter 2 hours before departure. Special Assistance reception will be stopped one hour prior to your scheduled departure time.
Priority Check-in
There are “Special Assistance”counters in the front of each check- in island. Priority check-in and baggage check- in service are offered to passengers with special needs by airlines and passenger service agents.
Priority Security Check
No.37 and 38 security check channels for domestic departures and No.9 for international are dedicated“Courtesy Channels”for passengers with special needs. These channels are equipped with baby seats, convenience boxes and other service facilities.
Battery Vehicle Service
Passengers with special needs can travel in battery vehicles free of charge. These vehicles are placed in domestic departure and arrival hall and Ground Transportation Center (GTC). Reservation service is available.
Baby Care Facilities
Each toilet in Shenzhen Airport has a nursing room equipped with a baby seat, a baby changing station, a hot water dispenser, a diaper vending machine and other convenience facilities. The Airport Flagship Nursing Room is near the No.28 boarding gate, which comes equipped with feeding zone, children play zone and other multifunctional zones and facilities.
Priority Boarding
Priority seats are placed near each boarding gate. Priority boarding service is provided to passengers with special needs by airlines and passenger service agents.
Wheelchair Service
The airport can assist the airlines to transfer wheelchair passengers in need from the airport drop- off area (Level 4, outside the Check- in Hall) to the "Special Assistance" counters of airlines. Reservation service is available.
