Recently, with the departure of several freighters loaded with goods, Shenzhen Airport Shenchang International Cargo Station, the first international cargo station in China operating 24 hours a day under intelligent and remote supervision, was officially put into operation.

The newly opened Shenchang International Cargo Station is located in Linghang 2nd Road, Bao’an District (Airport South Cargo Area), with a construction area of about 26,000 square meters and a designed annual support capacity of 110,000 tons. It provides various types of ground operation support services such as international entry and exit, international transit, international truck transportation, cross-border rapid customs clearance, cross-border e-commerce 9610 export customs transfer, and integrated allocation.

Under the guidance of Shenzhen Customs to comprehensively promote the construction of smart customs, Shenchang International Cargo Station has been chosen as a pilot project of the airport smart logistics reform and has made a number of innovations in check post construction and information system development. The innovation of supervision mode was supported with intelligent applications to enable advance declaration, check post inspection and release for export goods, and 24-hour release and delivery for import goods.

Thanks to innovative supervision and intelligent application, the operation efficiency and facility utilization rate of Shenchang International Cargo Station have been significantly improved, reflected in the shortened time of import and export cargo stored in the station by 82% and 33% respectively, and the increased processing capacity per unit area of inbound and outbound ports by 78% and 53% respectively.
